APC Mourns AVM Mukhtar Muhammed

The All Progressives Congress (APC) mourns the death of Air Vice Marshall Mukhtar Muhammed (rtd), a former military governor of old Kaduna State (1977-1978) who died recently at the age of 73 in London.

The Party also condoles with the immediate family, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and the government and people of Kaduna and Jigawa states over the death of the elderstateman who was the Wazirin Dutse, Jigawa State and Chairman of the first private FM station in Kano State, Freedom Radio.

The late AVM Muhammed who was the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Board of Trustees, deputy chairman, was a patriot and leading progressive voice in the country who spoke passionately for the unity and development of the north and the entire country, in order to salvage it from numerous problems of insecurity and poverty.

He was one of the country’s finest and principled military officer who distinguished himself in the various commands and assignments he held and undertook in the Nigerian Air-force.

While the death of the AVM Muhammed is a sad and painful loss, we should take solace on the fact that he lived an impactful life. May the Almighty Allah (SWT) grant his eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
