APC Accuses Governor Wike of Contradictory Statements

“Let me tell you, if you have a son, if you have a daughter, tell him or her that I have declared total war on cultists. Let me say it, since you say I will not sleep, you will also not sleep. I will chase you to anywhere, enter your mother’s bedroom, I will pick you out. Enough is enough. You cannot continue to drive away investors. We are talking about unemployment and you are driving away people who are coming to invest in our place in order to employ our youths. I will not allow cultists AGAIN to terrorize us.”
– [Gov. Nyesom Wike telling the people while commissioning the Ozuoba-Ogbogoro Road]

“We have tackled insecurity with decisive steps in conjunction with special security agencies, so much so that Rivers State has now become one of the safest place to visit, live and do business in the country. As a result, we have been hosting several local and national events to the joy and applaud of organizers, participants and visitors. For instance, some weeks ago, we successfully hosted the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party. Today, we are hosting AMAA. In the next couple of weeks, we shall be hosting the National Conferences of Magistrates Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Bar Association, the Legal Year of Federal High Courts, the West African Architects, and of course, the International Arbitration.

“We have received several delegations from foreign missions in Nigeria and international relations at bilateral and multilateral levels. All these show that our efforts to improve local security are yielding the desired results as Rivers State has once again resumed its position as a destination of choice to both local and foreign direct investment. Let me assure you that we are determined to leverage on this, in our effort to place Rivers State at the tourism world.”
