Jubilation as Fr Manafa Marks 10th Anniversary

Rev Fr John Manafa today celebrated the 10th Anniversary of his Priesthood marking ten years of dedicated service in the vineyard of the Lord in a special church service held at St Dominic Catholic Church, Abatete in Idemili North located government area of Anambra State.

In his homily, Cardinal Francis Arinze enjoined the congregation to join the crusade for a better society explaining that a true Christian should be a good citizen.

Speaking during the service, Gov Willie Obiano described Rev Fr Manafa as a man with long history of hardwork and urged the younger priests to adhere to the provisions of the rule book.

Expressing gratitude, Fr Manafa noted that he’s just one of the many whose lives as priest were facilitated by Gov Obi.

The anniversary service which was followed by a reception filled with dance and merriment was attended the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Rita Maduagwu and many Honourable Members; Chief of Staff to Gov Willie Obiano, Prof Joe Asike as well as members of Anambra State Executive Council.

Also present were leadership and stalwarts of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA led by the State Chairman, Chief Norbert Obi; Traditional Rulers; the Clergy; youth and women groups.
