Press Release: Ignore Mrs Jonathan’s Antics -APC Rivers State

The All Progressives Congress [APC], Rivers State Chapter would like to call on well-meaning Rivers people to ignore the antics and theatricals of the absurd levied on their sensibilities by the outgoing First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan at the PDP Women Rally yesterday at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.

The APC calls on the people of Rivers State to take the assurances of Mrs. Jonathan that the PDP will win the Rivers State Governorship polls and occupy the Brick House in Rivers State with a pinch of salt. That will not happen and she knows it.

It is important to remind the people that Mrs. Jonathan has played God on several occasions in the past and the Almighty God humiliated her so badly.

Mrs. Jonathan once assured the people around him that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi would be removed from office. Years after, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi is still the Governor of Rivers State.

Several more promises and declarations of what would happen which she made to her motley followers had also crumbled and failed to materialise.

The APC would like to call on the good people of Rivers State to note that the entire Nigeria has served notice on President and Mrs. Jonathan to commence assembling their personal effects to vacate Aso Rock by May 29, 2015 and no amount of self-delusion will avert that.

It is obvious that President Jonathan will struggle to get the mandatory vote requirements even in the South–South States, Rivers inclusive. It is frightening to imagine how he will fail in other zones of Nigeria.

The APC would like to inform the people of Rivers State that the uncouth, incoherent and panic mode Mrs. Jonathan spoke yesterday is only but the last kick of a dying horse that must be ignored.
