Uwajumogu Redefined Leadership in Okigwe Zone – Rev Steve Great

A frontline religious leader in the state, Rev. Steve De Great, has described the speaker, Imo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu as an exceptional politician who has redefined core principles of leadership in the Okigwe senatorial zone of the state.
In a chat with reporters in Okigwe recently, Rev Steve De Great, who was of the view that the political leadership of the zone has evolved with comprehensive changes in the last three years of the Rescue Mission administration in the state, attributed it to the humility and political ingenuity of the Uwajumogu led political leadership of the zone.
He pointed out that every true leader must be that personality who exudes confidence from the people, as well as one who listens and feels the pulse of the electorates, adding that the Speaker, having acknowledged the importance of service delivery to the people has perfectly etched his name on the marbles of destiny against his contemporaries.
On the forth coming general elections in the area, Rev Steve, who is also a revered leader among his ‘’Aro Okigwe’’ kinsmen, described it as the day of reckoning, while challenging politicians from the area to desist from “divisional politics and blackmail of fellow kinsmen”, as the electorates were now wiser, and as such would not allow what he called the return of political locust to the zone.
The Okigwe local government born leader, made it clear that the forth coming polls will no longer be business as usual, as the people would ensure that experienced and credible candidates who are ready to work for their people would be supported and encouraged for the overall betterment of Okigwe zone.
He however, maintained that the decision of the Imo Assembly Speaker to vie for the senate seat of the zone was a sign of good tidings to come for the people of the zone, as according to him, Okigwe zone cannot afford to remain perpetually backward in terms of sustainable federal presence, adding that having shown Okigwe people that he is armed with answers to their nagging problems, Uwajumogu should be supported by all and sundry to formally restore Okigwe zone back to its lost glory.
