Imo Govt To Repair Bad Spots On Umuguma-World Bank Road

The Imo State Government has re-assured the good people of Umuguma autonomous community in Owerri West Local Government Area of its commitment to work on the bad spot and put it to proper use, the Umuguma-World Bank Road.

The Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Jude Ejiogu made this promise on Thursday, October 16th, 2014 on behalf of the Rescue Mission Government while addressing the people of Umuguma on the need to repair the bad spot.

Sir Ejiogu, who is the Apex Leader of the Owerri Federal Constituency, further reminded them of the level of development the present administration has brought into the state since inception, assuring that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring the repair of the road.

He maintained that the people of the area have not relented in given the Governor Rochas Okorocha’s led administration every needed support, and re-affirmed government’s sincere promise to continue to improve their standard of living.

The Owerri North born political technocrat therefore appealed to the youths and the entire good people of Owerri West to be law abiding and as well, shun any act capable of causing break down of law and order, stressing that government has put in place every necessary logistics geared towards making the state the envy of others.

In his reaction, the Traditional Ruler of Umuguma autonomous community, HRH Eze George Ugorji thanked the state government for rising very fast in ensuring that the bad spot on the road was tackled to allow free flow of traffic even while commending the COS for having their interest at heart.

He therefore assured of his people’s resolve to continue to support the rescue mission government as part of their contribution for the sustenance of peace and unity in the area.

Adding his voice, President General of the Community said that the action of the youths to protest against the bad spot was not meant to discredit the government, saying that the present administration has brought immense transformation to the area which cannot be undermined.

He therefore reiterated of their unalloyed support to the government pointing out that Governor Okorocha’s administration has remained the best in the areas of road construction and infrastructure.
