Imo Assembly Probe Panel: Medicine After Death (2)

By Ikenna Samuelsom Iwuoha

This piece is a continuation of the earlier one I released on Thursday
the 27th of March 2014. In the part one of this press release, I
revealed that I was yet to receive invitation to appear before the
hurriedly set up Kangaroo panel being chaired by Barrister Ikenna
Emeh, a bosom friend and core member of Imo Speaker circles of cartel.

Furthermore, I explained that my allegations of fraud and monumental
corruption have far gone beyond the capacity of not only the Imo State
House of Assembly but also the Imo State Government to investigate or
handle. The matter is before the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC). I ended the release by describing the Kangaroo
panel as an April Fool Panel that was shamelessly set up by Rt. Hon.
Benjamin Uwajumogu with a pre-determined plot to give him a clean bill
of health.

At this point, it will be necessary for me to reveal the identities of
the remaining members of the panel, talk about their antecedents,
after which the reading public can conclude if they have the
credibility, integrity and acceptability to investigate my allegations
of fraud and acute corruption against the speaker and his aides.
1. Hon Celestine Ngobiwu : He is the member representing Obowo State
Constituency and the Speakers trusted boy. He is the House Committee
Chairman on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters of a very juicy
portfolio that handles Local Government deductions from the monthly
He shares the proceeds from the monthly deduction with Imo Speaker,
Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu and other people.
He will do anything for the Speaker in order for him to retain and
protect the Chairmanship of that committee.

2. Hon Mike Ndubuaku: He is the member representing Orlu State
Constituency and the House Committee Chairman on Education, another
juicy position and portfolio. Recently, he was allegedly linked to
admission racketeering at Imo State University and other Higher
Institutions in the State. In order for him not to be removed as the
Education Committee Chairman, he will do anything to please the Rt.
Honourable Speaker and this will include writing a favourable report
for the Speaker on my allegations of corruption and massive fraud.

3. Hon Obioma Ekennia: He is the member representing Ezinnihite Mbaise
State Constituency. His case is very simple and straight forward. His
amiable wife is an acting Permanent Secretary in one of the Ministries
in the State. He is generally seen as one of the opposition Honourable
members in the House but he has timelessly claimed to be in support of
the Speaker.
That he is a member of the Kangaroo probe panel is an opportunity for
him to prove to Speaker Uwajumogu that he can be trusted. Rt. Hon.
Benjamin Uwajuogu has promised to facilitate the confirmation of his
wife’s position as a REAL permanent Secretary ones he does a hatchet
job of writing a favourable report for him (The Speaker).

4. Hon Stan Dara: He is the member representing Orsu stole
constituency and until recently the chairman on joint state and Rule
roads monitoring Committee. That Hon. Stan Dara is a member of the
cabal involved in road contract deal in the state is an
understatement, he is indeed one of the major beneficiaries of the
Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu road contract syndicate. Let me just stop
here on Hon Stan Dara.
5. Hon Acho Ihim: He is the member representing Okigwe State
Constituency and the unseen or never seen House Committee Chairman on
information and Inter-parliamentary matters. While I was the Senior
Special Assistant on media, I was the De-facto Chairman on
information. I did his job for him because he was never around.
Also I practically stopped him from emerging the Speaker of Imo State
House of Assembly in June 2011 and ever since then he has not been
happy with me. Unfortunately the man I installed the speaker of Imo
State House of Assembly (Rt. Hon Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu) has
enlisted Hon. Acho Ihim into the panel membership for him (Acho) to
get his own pound of flesh.
It should be noted that this same Acho Ihim was indicted on the 23rd
of January 2006 for misappropriation, embezzlement, gross-misconduct
and financial manipulation to the tune of forty Eighty million, two
hundred and sixty nine thousand, two hundred and seventy four naira,
twenty nine kobo (N48,269,274.29k) when he was the Local government
Chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area.
The members of the panel that probed him, included the following:
1. Hon Chukwunonye Irouno (Chairman)
2. Hon Chris Echefu Ogu (Secretary)
3. Hon Emma Okoye (member)
4. Hon Paul Uche (member)
5. Hon Ejiogu Charles (Member)
6. Hon U.K.P. Okereke (member)

Therefore, the simple question I want to ask is this; Can a man
indicted for massively looting his Local Government funds be a member
of a bogus panel to investigate my genuine allegations against Rt.
Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu? The honest answer is a big NO.

Conversely, I make bold to argue that the Kangaroo panel set up by the
Speaker do not have the credibility to look into my allegations
against him. Also, Rt. Hon Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu cannot preside
over the leadership of the Assembly that has constituted a panel to
investigate his corrupt and fraudulent practices revolving over and
around contract scam, employment racketeering, Financial Assistance
Scam, Imprest Scam, Stipends for Correspondents Scam and General
Supply Scam.

Rt. Honourable Chief Benjamin Chukwuemeka Uwajumogu is therefore
Advised to resign or step Aside as Speaker of Imo State House of
Assembly before any meaningful probe panel can be constituted.

I cannot conclude this piece without commending the Executive Governor
of Imo State, His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Anayochukwu Ethelbert
Okorocha ( Owelle Global) for ordering the immediate arrest of Imo
Speaker’s Chief of Staff (Mr. Kodichi Anamekwe) over his involvement
in contract Scam.

His Excellency who gave the order during his verification tour to
Ehime Mbano expressed concern why some contractors will collect money
for road projects and fail to do the job. Okorocha thereafter directed
the police and other security agencies to effect the arrest of the
managing Director of FALCON ENGINEERING LTD who is also the Chief of
Staff to the Speaker of Imo Sate House of Assembly Mr. Kodichi
Anamekwe for abandoning the Oriendu-Nkwodurukwu road in Ehime Mbano
LGA after collecting N18 million naira.

If Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu likes, let him visit his former
Godfather, Chief Tony Chukwu (He was seen at Tony Chukwu’s village
residence in company of Hon. Ikenna Emeh last night at around 11.00pm
kneeling down and begging for intervention and forgiveness) countless
times, this battle must be fought to its logical conclusion. I
prewarned of the consequences of going into a battle with a warrior.
Honourable members and the clerk of the House pre-warned the Speaker
of the consequences of going into a battle with a warrior.

I truly respected, cherished and loved Rt. Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu as
my boss. I gave him undiluted loyalty and protection but he bungled
it. He allowed Kodichi Anamekwe, Emeka Ahaneku, Dr (Mrs) Chidimma
Uwajumogu, Kingsley Ndubueze, Kingsley Nkemka, Godson Amadikwa, Ugwu,
Ifeanyi Nwannenna etc to deceive him. This war must continue and I
have no intention of sheathing my sword because my integrity and
credibility is now at stake. The EFCC must carry out its investigation
to the logical conclusion FULL STOP.

I rest my pen.

Citizen (Dr) Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha FCAI
Former Senior Special Assistant on media
Immediate Past Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties.
