Frank Nweke Jnr who served under former President Olusegun Obasanjo as Minister for Information and National Orientation has declared to contest for Enugu East Senatorial election in 2014, Thisday is reporting.

Nweke Jnr who was one of the most outspoken cabinet members during Obasanjo’s era and presently heads the Nigerian Economic summit group will be fighting for the PDP ticket for Enugu East Senatorial district with the incumbent, Senator Gilbert Nnaji, the Senate Committee Chair on Communication.

Thisday reports that the former Minister told newsmen in Enugu that his decision to join the Senate race was borne out of his desire to provide quality representation to people of the zone.
