The House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, has been named key speaker at the 1st Annual Africa Business Conference, University of Michigan, U.S.
The conference with theme “Energising Africa’s Emergence,” would hold at the Ross School of Business on February 8.
Other speakers include Steve Akinboro, Executive Vice President of Domino’s Pizza Team U.S.; Chukwuka Emuwa, Managing consultant for Systec Ltd.; and Patricia McCants, Founder and President of a non-profit organisation “African Diaspora Chamber of Commerce”.
Also expected to make a presentation is Akin Adekunle, Regional Finance Manager at Holdings Inc (NYSE: EXH), a Houston based natural gas solutions provider.
According to the University, the conference is an avenue to highlight economic opportunities, challenges and ways to energise Africa’s emergence.
“We are engaging the expertise of successful professionals and leaders in the region and beyond.
“They would share their success stories and provide first-hand information beyond media reports,’’ the University’s authorities said.
The authorities also said that the conference would feature speakers, who are passionate, engaging, and prepared to address pressing issues facing Africa’s development.
The authorities, however, noted that the speakers would also discuss issues related to growth through awareness and investing in Africa, transforming Africa’s economy through the energy sector and developing entrepreneurs.
