POLL RANKS NIGERIA 99TH OUT OF WORLD 100 BEST COUNTRIES TO LIVE

Nigeria’s Minister of Information Prof. Dora Akunyili’s re-branding campaign yesterday suffered a deadly blow as Newsweek.com  in its ranking of best places to live in the World placed Nigeria at number 99th just one step above Burkinafaso.

The Netherlands is the eighth best place to live, according to the top 100 published in Newsweek.

The magazine looked at education, health care, the economy and the political situation in each country. The Netherlands scored better than the US and Germany, with its liberal school system coming in for particular praise.

Finland topped the poll, followed by Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Luxemburg, Norway and Canada.
