Commissioner for women Affairs in Adamawa State Alhaja Ishatu Tukur, wife to the Chief of Staff to Governor Murtala Nyako, Chief Bello Tukur cried profoundly in public recently as political hooligans stoned her in her constituency, inflicting on her bodily pain.

Aishat Tukur received surprise of her life by aggrieved youths of her constituency who singled her out from a campaign entourage of the Peoples Democratic Party and molested her at the campaign ground in her country home.

The thugs who were armed with local charms, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons descended on her when she was sported shouting ‘’Barawo’’ meaning thief also threatening to kill her in presence of her security detail who latter smuggle her out of the rally and drover her out to unknown destination after she had already received rain of heavy stone on her body.

Investigation revealed that the crux of the matter why the commissioner was stoned is based on disagreement between her and some big wigs politicians in the party in her area who had earlier advised her not to quit her matrimonial house for the chief of the staff.

Some politicians from song local area resented her marriage to the Mr. Bello Tukur, chief of staff to the Adamawa state governor, over the dishonorable act in their culture.

Aishatu Tukur who is nursing ambition to contest for House of Representatives under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party was vehemently warned by the youths the area to burry the idea or she will be dealt with rudely if she ever goes ahead with her ambition and place campaign posters.

The state secretary to the party Mr P.P. Elisha confirmed the incident to Ureports according to him he claimed that the attack might be have been sponsored, recounted a similar incidence, but assured that the issue was been looked at by the party.

He further revealed that a similar incidence had occured at Maiha when thugs suspected to be supporters of rivals in the PDP attacked the state women leader of the party in Maiha Hajia Fatimatu Maiha.

It can be recalled that Alhaji Bello Tukur the chief of staff to Nyako and some top politicians in the state were also attacked by youths of Mubi in re-run election for House of Representatives for Mubi South/North and Maiha Constituency few months ago.

The latest development has put shivers in the mind of the chief of staff to Adamawa state s governor who has been billed by the Nyako PDP faction to replace Professor Jibril Aminu for Adamawa cental Zone as senator in up coming election.

Political pundits in the state has opined that Nyako Chief OF staff is losing his popularity among the electorates over accusations of highhandedness in the running of the Nyako administration being the bulwark behind the government’s every action consequently making him bad a product to challenge Senator Jubril Aminu for the Adamawa Central Senatorial Seat
