EYIBO: ABUJA COURT MAKES U- TURN.

An Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday set aside its earlier order ejecting Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Information, Eseme Eyiboh, from possession of his house in Area II, Garki, Abuja.

In his ruling, Justice Othman Musa said the latest decision of the court had set aside all orders made pursuant to the motion ex-parte granted Hassan Gusau on June 3.

Justice Musa also ordered the Chief Registrar of the High Court to take necessary steps to restore the applicant to the possession of the house.

The judge further directed that the Chief Registrar must ensure that the applicant’s properties removed pursuant to the execution of the former orders were duly accounted for.

“I have gone through the prayers and its counter views canvassed by the third respondent (Gusau); it shows clearly that the application has merit.

“It is regrettable that the court had on May 28 granted an ex-parte order which temporarily dispossessed Eyiboh of his valid property.

“The court is established to apportion justice to all irrespective of religious or geographic leanings; I hereby uphold the prayers exception of relief four overtaken by the granting of relief one and three,’’ the judge added.

Eyibo had prayed the court to set aside its order of June 3 which resulted in his being forcefully thrown out of his house on 7, Yamoye Close, Area II, Garki, Abuja.
